Soheila Sohi

Soheila Sohi

Soheila Sohi is a Danish-Iranian contemporary artist based in Denmark.

Her work is rooted in memory, identity and a sense of place. Drawing on people, places and experiences from different periods of her life, she moves freely between abstraction and recognisable forms.

Born in Iran and raised in Denmark, her visual language carries both Nordic restraint and Persian warmth. Memories of childhood, belonging and the passage of time often find their way into her paintings - sometimes directly, sometimes as fragments, colours or quiet traces.

Before dedicating herself fully to painting, she worked in fashion, photography and design and lived for many years in Paris, London and Rome. These experiences continue to shape the way she sees and works.

Today she paints full-time from her atelier in Denmark.

  • Ambassador for Hjernesagen (The Danish Brain Association)
I am honoured to serve as an ambassador for Hjernesagen. Through my art, I hope to help raise awareness and support people living with brain illness or injury, and their families. If art can create conversations that make a difference, then it has a purpose beyond the canvas. www.hjernesagen.dk
