Iranian Girls

The Iranian Girls have followed me through my work for years.

Some are rooted in memory, others are imagined. They are not portraits of particular people, but figures through which I explore identity, belonging, silence and the feeling of living between cultures.

I keep returning to them. Perhaps because, in some way, each of them carries a small part of me.
